#Endbadgovernance

I think that when it comes to politics, we're hypocrites. It's the only way I understand this theory - you hate something in its original form and assume you would love it in a different pack, that is, the same content in a different pack. How? Hey lovelies, welcome to the blog.

Elections are on the way again and guess what... almost all the candidates have been in power before. In fact two of them led my state (in Lady Gaga's voice, "applaud, applaud, applaud").  Former vice presidents are in the running too. Almost all, if not all, have held one political position or the other. Did they bring the change they claim they're bringing this time around? Did they solve the problems that were within their purview to solve? Did they do anything remotely wonderful?

Loyalists please stay far away from me. We're trying to make our votes count, encouraging the youths to get their PVC's and come out en masse to do the right thing. We're asking that urgent 2k, or 4k, or even 10k isn't the reason to sell our votes and impoverish ourselves. I get it. Our head is in the right place. But why are we recycling the people responsible for the decadence we're trying to flush out. Are we not infact deceiving ourselves? Where are the one's who's content we've not tasted and hissed about? Don't let the saying, "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know" deceive you. There will never be a time in life where an unknown angel is worse than the devil, I repeat never.

Let me share the A - Z of Nigerian politics here:

A - is for aggression, our people are angry

B - is for billowing, screaming and shouting empty promises and aggressive propaganda

C - is the creed:- loot your own share

D - is for deceit, they sell us short, abusing our intellect

E - is for eichmanns, we bred them with our no qualms.

F - is for fraud, they come, defraud us and go.

G - is for generals, as to become a president it seems you must have been a general.

H - is for hoarding, as to rule most of our politicians deprive us of our social amenities.

I - is for impeachment, for if you seem competent you become irrelevant.

J - is for jackals as to rule you must have or have had one

K - is for killing, as jackals must kill or death made profound by unnecessary aggression

L - is for looting, as the national cake must be bitten, each president according to his taste.

M - is for money, some to launder, others to recover.

N - is for negligence, year after year they neglect the truest matters.

O - is for opposition, the game is do, or die, or oppose the ruling government.

P - is for property, accumulate or confiscate.

Q - is for quota, each ally gets his sheer cut in the right ratio.

R - is for retrospect, as we are all wise only in retrospect.

S - is for stipends, each pay not according to deed but position, or heirachy of endearment to the powers that be.

T - is for theft, as is a criteria to be a leader.

U - is for unassuming because the worse is always yet to come

V - is for valour an act we may yet see.

W - is for wealth, which must be accumulated each leader at his turn.

X - is for ex leaders who rule either in the fore-front or as god-fathers

Y - is for yardsticks, each leader falling short of the last.

Z - is for zeniths, none reach or aspire to achieve.

We've willy nilly become eichmanns in our society. Hypocrites. These recycled lot  pander at our worst instincts. Desist. I'm not saying that if you believe any of the candidates who've declared interest to lead our beautiful nation is worthy, that you shouldn't vote them. I'm saying, don't sell the idea that, what we openly detested at state or even federal level, is now best because they changed party or they changed the title they're vying for. Vote wisely, stay safe.
