We are not God-less
Hypothesis explains the causality of existence as the relationship between science and God. For science, a higher power is a hypothesis that cannot be tested, so the scientific method cannot be applied to it. However, while scientists believe that the phenomenon that is God is a philosophy only backed up by belief, I have another hypothesis of my own: We're not godless, for we believe in a god factor.
When people say they don't believe in God, I don't believe them. There's always a god factor, some call it good luck, some believe in some mantra, others in an unseen power, while people like me regardless of religion believe in God.
Whatever your belief is, the fact that you find purpose in that belief, it is your god factor. To Christians, which is the religious sect I fall under, God gives us a purposeful life. To some people, a healthy habit does; like exercising or yoga, some others hold onto artifacts as their good luck charms, for others it's a person, either way a god factor is made available one that they're dependent on. Dependence on something or someone or a habit makes that thing or person or habit have power over you, who is God or what is a god factor?
My belief as a christian is that God is the creator of heaven and earth and everything thereof, but a god like the godfathers is a person in a high position of authority, the gods of the old religion (vudu or juju) is an impersonal and universal spiritual force or presence, while the god factor is a belief system that controls the way you act and think. All of these control you, they either make or mar you, as you let them, or believe them to.
So when the atheist says I don't believe in God or juju meaning there is no God or god have them remember that their habitual culture is proof of a god factor in their life. So although they do not believe in the forces that be, if they believe however that Mr X can put them in that seat of power they've been gunning for, then Mr X is their godfather and therefore their god factor, or if they believe that science is the answer or solution to whatever questions or problems they have or may stumble upon, then science is their god factor.
Ultimately my theory is that man sees and hears then his mind believes. Man is made in such a way that he believes in something, he must first believe to be able to work in any sphere. Like he must believe that if he works with a certain firm he'll get paid and that way he can feed and sustain himself before he agrees to work. He must agree that a certain pill is a treatment for his ailment before he takes it. He believes that a certain charm around his arm or waist protects him from nightmares or a certain evil before he wears it. He also believes that God blesses the righteous and therefore chooses to be morally upright. In all of these men's belief system controls their actions and therefore man indeed is subject to these beliefs and ultimately subject to a god factor regardless of what it is.
I believe in God, almighty. I believe that He so loved me that He sent His only begotten to die for me so that I might live, freely for Him. I urge you to try life on this end: to be in a love relationship, to be dependent on
the solid rock, that has never failed. I implore you to leave all other forms of belief or search for meaning and accept this one: to choose a God who already chose you.
